Term Reflections

We are reflecting on this year and how it is changing us.

Name: Sarn

This Year, 2020 has been the worst year because of lockdown and Coronavirus. Since I

got out of lockdown

I haven’t been myself. I've been a hermit crab and glued to my TV and a little bit glued to the

computer. But

Savanah was on it all day and night. In school, I would love to do more Physical Education

and math and

more blog posts. P.E is probably my strongest subject but I love VOLLEYBALL.

Coronavirus is the stinkest thing in my life.

What is Integrity? And which Biblical Characters show it.

In class, we are learning about integrity and how Bible characters show it.

Esther shows integrity because she came from a Jewish family and King Xerxes wanted

a new wife so King Xerxes invited all the single women so he could choose a new wife.

Esther was chosen to be Queen but she didn’t tell the King that she was a jew. Haman was planning to

wipe out all the Jews by impaling them on a sharp pole. Queen Esther went to the King with a request to

invite Haman to a banquet with the King and Queen. Then Queen Esther said that Haman was planning to

kill her people so Haman was impaling on the pole.

Moses shows integrity because he didn’t want to go back to Egypt to tell Pharaoh to let his people go,

so he fled until he found a burning bush but it wasn’t ashing up because it was God's voice telling him to

go back to Egypt and save his people and take them to the promised land where they will be safe and

sound. So Moses went to challenge the Pharaoh with god with him. Moses used plagues, insects,

diseases, and frogs but the worst one was the Spirit of death that killed the firstborn of every living thing in

Egypt. But people with lambs blood on the door frame was to be left alone.

Persuasive Argument

 Name: Sarn

A large body of literature indicates that as much as 30% of all cancer cases are linked to poor dietary habits and is therefore preventable.  I think people shouldn’t eat what they want when they want because they will get unhealthy and can catch cancer and get obese.

The proportion reaches 70% for cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. Maintaining a healthy weight throughout life may be one of the most important ways to protect against cancer. Cancer is bad because it can kill you and can spread through your body. Luckily Cancer doesn’t spread to other people. But cancer can only spread to other people if your breathing in the same air in the room. But close contact like hugging, sharing meals, and kissing can't spread cancer to people. Cancer is a disease that can spread all through the body from the lungs to the heart to the intestines then soon you can't walk you would be stuck in a bed taking very important pills because you could die if you don't take your pills. And your family wouldn't want to see you dead. But sorry to bring that up so soon.

 Aunties Anniversary

‘‘ FISHING time!’’ I yelled.

Preparing the rods.  Putting on the bait. And Casting my line, and brothers and Sis doing their rods up. Then SPLASH! Fish splashed through the water. It was a lovely Thursday afternoon ready to go to Rotorua for my aunties' Anniversary.

Waiting for the first bite on the bait.

First I had breakfast, I had Nutri-grain, eggs on toast and baked beans. It was DELICIOUS. Then we left to refill the car, so we started the journey to Rotorua. Me, Lance, Nan, Koro, Savanah, Hamuera and Gibbon had heaps of fun on the way down. I got tired on the way down so I went to sleep because it was 7:00 in the morning. Then we arrived in Rotorua, “What a Journey’’, I said in a tired voice

We unpacked the car, my Nan was in charge of the food and drinks, so Me and my siblings wandered off to explore and we found a nice river and went for a swim for about an hour. I saw an eel and I dived down and followed the eel and grabbed it for lunch. But my Nan said that I had to skin and slime the eel myself self but I was fine with it because I was hungry for eel.

At lunch, I went straight for the eel and told everyone else to leave my eel alone. The next day my uncle Anthony brought his boat so we can go fishing and MAN I was stoked to go fish and eating the fish as soon as we’ve caught the fish. We caught some Snapper, yellowfin kingfish. Then we went diving I grabbed some kina, oysters, and paua.

For dinner we had the fish and shellfish we caught, ‘’IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!” I yelled.

The Next Day it was the anniversary I was wearing my tuxedo, but i just couldn’t wait for the cake and food. When it was time Lance was yapping away so I told him to shut up. All the food and cake was SOOO YUM i went to Hamuera and threw the cake at him and laughed. I WAS THE BEST.

Coronavirus (COVID 19)

Intro

Coronavirus started in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. When

some people ate Pangolin scales and Bat Wings and are affected by a disease

called Coronavirus or COVID 19 for short. Coronavirus spread from country

to country and affected young and vulnerable people.

How Coronavirus Came.

Coronavirus came to NZ when our borders were open and an

affected person

came and affected people in the border and was rushed to the hospital.

Endless waves

of Coronavirus cases and Doctors catching the virus and testing stations in

Auckland and all

around the country.

Cases From Covid-19

The Cases from Covid-19 is 1,363 confirmed cases in New Zealand and 22

deaths, 1,568 recovered from Covid-19. 11 cases currently in hospital 3 in intensive

care, and 351 probable cases of Covid-19. People that came back from traveling

have

self-isolated for 2 weeks and have to wear a face mask when going out shopping

or just

order uber eats.

Covid-19 Levels

Covid-19 has levels like Alert level 1,2,3 and 4, For Example, Level  1 is just

washing your hands and coughing in your elbow. And level 2 is sanitising your

hand and keep 2-metre distance and wear a face mask. Such as level 3 is social

distancing and wearing a face mask and hand sanitising. And level 4 is

lockdown

and 1 designated shopper and social distancing, sanitising hands and wearing a

face mask.

The Big Lockdown

Alert level 4 is the big lockdown when everyone gets confused and

wants to go to the park for a walk. People weren't prepared in a way that

took them out of their comfort zone and there was a restriction that you couldn’t

meet up with other whanau and couldn’t go to tangis. Wouldn’t be able to do what

you would usually do during the day and people being paranoid and shelves out of

stock of milk powder and toilet paper and sanitizer.

Vulnerable People Dying

The Vulnerable People in Rosewood Rest Home of 2 People died during the

pandemic. The Vulnerable and Young die from stress, Coronavirus, Fear of loss

and the spread of Covid-19. Old people when they die it's sad cause you can’t go to

their funeral and pay their respect and say goodbye till the final moment they get

buried.

Conclusion

Coronavirus is a disease that spreads rapidly if you're in a supermarket even if

one person is infected it can affect one by one. The Covid-19 levels are stages of

lockdown

that you have to obey them and sanitise your hands and keep 2-metre distance

and wear a

face mask and don’t go to town if you're sick.
